A rare vintage 1972 24 years-old Royal Lochnagar Highland single malt scotch whisky at natural cask strength 55.7 vol. from the legendary Rare Malts Selection by Diageo, which was bottled in September 1997 in a limited edition with individually numbered 75cl bottles. This exceptional and rare vintage 1972 24 year Royal Lochnagar Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the late 1990s impresses with its extraordinary quality and a special feature: a small part of the bottlings was delivered with a misprint of the distillation year (1974 instead of 1972) on the packaging.
The Diageo Rare Malts Selection, which has now been discontinued, has been awarded with very special single malts from selected distilleries such as Auchroisk, Bannf, Blair Athol, Brora, Clynelish, Convalmore, Glendullan, Glen Mhor, Hillside-Glenesk, Millburn, Port Ellen, Royal Lochnagar, Rosebank, St. Magdalene and Inchgower presented in a limited edition at natural cask strength and nowadays they are regarded almost as a cult among connoisseurs.
