This vintage 2001 limited edition Bowmore Islay single malt scotch whisky comes from a personally selected by Kirsch Whisky at Signatory Single Cask of refill Sherry Butt and was under the now well-known among connoisseurs and collectors Single Cask Seasons Edition exclusively for the winter 2015 at cask strength 55.4% ABV without adding dyes issued in an edition of 641 bottles. After distillation of the distillate spent 14 years a slow maturation in a refill sherry butt before she was finally filled. This is a Bowmore in its natural form, of the barley and its maturation in the cask. The result is a Bowmore single malt with light gold in color, the aromas are complex - candied fruit, toffee and marzipan, bound together in the distinctive Bowmore smokiness. On the palate it is surprisingly delicate with a hint of vanilla, berry fruit and light peat. The finish is light, elegant and gentle. A nice Bowmore!
