A rare and stunning vintage 1972 1972 30 year old Glenmorangie Oloroso Sherry Casks Finish Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky, matured for 17 years in selected bourbon hogsheads and then finished for a further 15 years in ex-Oloroso sherry butts. The exclusive vintage 1972 30 year Glenmorangie Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled in the year 2004 without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration in an edition of 4584 individually numbered bottles at cask strength 44.3% vol. and presented in a noble wooden box. Each bottle was personally signed by Glenmorangie master distiller Bill Lumsden. Absolutely rare, a true jewel and rarity from Glenmorangie and now only rarely to be found.

- Nose: rich, deep and enticing with luscious sweet and fruity flavours. Sherry cask notes have harmonised with soft scents to give a first impression of chocolate toffee with a mixture of dried fruits, subtle spices and sugared almonds
- Taste: Big and full-flavoured, the mouthfeel is an amazing balance of velvety, chewy and mouthwatering effects. The initial sip reveals peach and plum skins progressing to rich fruit cake and chocolate raisins. Later, trifle laced with Olosoro sherry emerges with hints of sultanas, orange peel and walnuts
