A limited edition vintage single Highland malt from Glenmorangie that was distilled in 1974, bottled in 1996 and was only sold at Duty-Free. This was distilled when the distillery s floor maltings were still in full swing and is a beautifully elegant and complex highland malt with that typically Glenmorangie spiciness and a little more peat than nowadays thanks to the old style kick from the floor maltings. Matured in carefully selected American mountain oak and sherry casks, since 1974, this spirit has matured in low, stone-built, earthen-floored, warehouses permeated by fresh sea-airs of the Dornoch Firth. One of the best Glenmorangies and a must for collectors of Glenmorangie and rare Single Malts.
- Nose: Marzipan and oranges, hint of sherry with fresh and strong flavor, signs of plums and nectarines
- Palate: mild and balanced, slightly creamy with sweetness of ripe oranges and fruits, honey, prune and dry oak
