Highland Park Ice Edition is a 2016 limited special release from Orkneys Highland Park of only 30.000 bottles (3.000 for Germany) which follows on from the Valhalla Collection. In blue coloured glass reflecting dazzling and glittering ice, the bottle shape has been designed espiacially to evoke the distinctive sharrpness and coolness of the Ice Realm. The bottle is encased in a stunning mountain shaped, oak wood cradle with accompanying wooden stopper. The exquisite circle design on the glass represents the circle of life - the creation of the world, protected by a serpent, a mysthical creature central to classic Norse mythology. Aged for 17 years, predominantly in first fill ex-bourbon casks, this is a powerful single malt whisky with notes of vanilla, spice and peat.
