A very rare vintage 1990 18 year-old Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the famous Cask Strength Rare Auld Single Cask edition by Duncan Taylor, which was distilled in October 1990 and after 18 years of maturation in sherry cask no. 18222 bottled in January 2009 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a edition of only 240 individually numbered bottles at cask strength 54.1% vol. This 18 years-old Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a beautiful dark amber colour and is a delight due to its maturity and complexity.
The whiskies offered between 2002 and 2011 by Duncan Taylor in the Cask Strength Rare Auld Single Cask Edition acquired by Abe Rosenberg since the early 1960s come from the more than 4000 casks of selected premium distilleries, such as Aberlour, Ben Riach, Bowmore, Brora, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Clynelish, Dallas Dhu, Dalmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glenburgie, Glenesk, Glenlivet, Glenlossie, Glenrothes, Highland Park, Inchgower, Knockando, Linlithgow, Laphroaig, Longmorn, Macallan, Macduff, Miltonduff, Old Pulteney, Springbank, Strathisla, Strathmill, Tamdhu and Tomatin and are all bottled as single cask whiskies in limited editions.
