A rare bottling of the 16-year-old Aberlour Batch A14 Hand Filled at the Distillery Speyside Single Malt Scotch whisky from the Aberlour hand filled at the distillery cask strength series, which was bottled on site at the distillery on 29th September 2014 as batch no. A14 without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration at cask strength 59.1% vol. and was not officially available in stores.
The special 16 years Aberlour Hand Filled Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in Spanish oloroso sherry casks, which give it its deep mahogany colour and exceptional character. The Aberlour Batch A14 Speyside Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled exclusively for visitors to the distillery on site in 2014 and 2015, hand labelled with the individual bottle number, age and cask type, batch number, contents and bottling date, alcohol content and bottler s name.
The exclusive 16 years Aberlour Batch A14 Speyside Single Malt Scotch whisky shows on the nose classic sherry, dried fruits, plums, roasted nuts, cinnamon and burnt sugar, the taste is oily and creamy with fine sweetness, dried fruits, sultanas, prunes, chocolate, dark berries, sherry wood and spices, the finish is long, warm, aromatic, sweet and fruity - a fine Aberlour Speyside single malt Scotch whisky with the classic Aberlour character reminiscent of the early A Bunadh bottlings!
