The special vintage 1998 Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was bottled in the year 2006 without chill filtration in a limited edition at cask strength 56.2% abv. It is called Still Young because it was only allowed to mature for 8 years in selected bourbon casks and the short maturation time makes its age and taste compared to other Ardbeg bottlings a particularly sought-after Ardbeg Islay single malt scotch whisky among connoisseurs and whisky-collectors.
The Ardbeg Still Young Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a fresh nose with notes of smoke, peat, salt and iodine; the flavour is strong and intense with hints of vanilla, ash, chilli, smoke, honey, salt and maritime notes; the finish is long, sweet and smoky, with notes of vanilla and white pepper - a superb and worthy Ardbeg Islay Single Malt!
