This rare 18 year-old Auchentoshan Limited Edition Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was matured for 18 years in selected first and second fill Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled in 2006 in a limited edition of 4800 bottles at cask strength 55.8% vol. As at that time, the fine Auchentoshan Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is still produced in the traditional way and wonderfully demonstrates the special character and quality of the old Oloroso sherry casks. Auchentoshan is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that still uses the traditional and elaborate triple distillation process. This makes Auchentoshan Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky very light and smooth. In addition, the malt used is only lightly peated.
