An exceptional and rare vintage 1991 25 year old Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky from independent bottler Càrn Mòr as part of the limited edition Celebration of the Cask Black Gold series. Distilled on 2nd July 1991, this special Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky was matured for over 25 years in a select sherry butt with the cask no. 1916 before being bottled without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration at cask strength 54.6% vol. on 19th September 2016 in an edition of only 560 individually hand-numbered bottles.
Originally from the former Morrison Group - the former owner of Bowmore, Auchentoshan and Glengarioch - this independent bottler (Morrison and MacKay Whisky Merchants) is associated with the former Scottish Liqueur Centre, which they recently took over. In close cooperation with the Gillespie family, Càrn Mòr offers partially old casks from well-known but also lesser-known distilleries and offers a very high level of quality with its selected single cask bottlings. The collector s bottlings of the coveted single malts from the Càrn Mòr Celebration of the Cask Black Gold single cask series, which are only available in limited editions, are now an insider tip and rarely available.
