With the (Bowmore) Sailing Seagull Vatted Islay Single Malt Whisky, the Regensburger Whiskyclub and Pit Krause have once again succeeded, after the legendary (Ardbeg) The-Merry-Go-Round as well as the Crois Chill Daltain I+II, creating an absolutely outstanding and very special Islay Single Malt Whisky with the distinct and original Bowmore genes as part of the special 12th Private Club release in the year 2018 in a limited edition bottling at 50.4% vol.
The C.V. bottling consists whisky of four decades and different vintages, mainly from the mid-1990s, the oldest vintage is from 1964 - 75% are from the best sherry casks (refill and first fill, also fino parts), the rest from ex-bourbon hogshead casks for the balanced and complex character. The spirit was then matured in refill sherry and rum casks to harmonise and smooth the whisky.
A special highlight for connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike and a great Islay single malt whisky that was not officially available on the market and, like many of the bottlings from the Regensburger Whisky and Wine Club, is already almost a cult - without a doubt an exceptional whisky and wonderful old-school Islay single malt scotch whisky with a perfect sherry balance and quality of a Bowmore with a strong character that is already an ultimate rarity today!
