A rare vintage 2001 7 year-old Bruichladdich Port Charlotte PC7 Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the third release of the PC resp. Sin An Doigh Ileach bottling selected by Master Distiller Jim McEwan. The Port Charlotte PC7 Islay single malt was distilled in 2001 and was bottled after 7 years of maturation in bourbon and sherry casks in October 2008 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a batch of 24.000 individually numbered bottles at cask strength 61.0% abv and 40 PPM.
The maturation in the selected bourbon and sherry casks created an outstanding Islay single malt scotch whsiyk with a beautiful straw gold-honey colour and the classic and elegant Bruichladdich character with the power and presence of strong peat smoke. The Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Islay single malt scotch whisky from the special PC-series are now in great demand among whisky-collectors, connoisseurs and lovers of outstanding Islay single malt.
