A rare vintage 2001 8 year-old Bruichladdich Port Charlotte PC8 Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the 4th release of the PC resp. Sin An Doigh Ileach bottling selected by Master Distiller Jim McEwan. The Port Charlotte PC8 Islay single malt was distilled in 2001 and bottled after 8 years of maturation in American oak casks in July 2009 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a batch of 30.000 individually numbered bottles at cask strength 60.5% vol.
The maturation in the selected American oak casks created an outstanding Islay single malt scotch whsiyk with a beautiful gold colour and the classic and elegant Bruichladdich character with the power and presence of strong peat smoke. The Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Islay single malt scotch whisky from the special PC-series are now in great demand among whisky-collectors, connoisseurs and lovers of outstanding Islay single malt.
