A very rare and high collectible 15 year-old Caol Ila Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 43.0% abv from the United Distillers Flora and Fauna Series, which was bottled in a limited edition in the early 1990s.
The labels of the bottlings show various motifs from the animal and plant world. The name Flora and Fauna was probably created by the whisky connoisseur Michael Jackson and is not an official name of the whisky producer.
Since the late 1980s, United Distillers / Diageo have been producing in the Flora and Fauna series special single malts of selected distilleries such as Aberfeldy, Auchroisk, Balmenach, Benrinnes, Bladnoch, Blair Athol, Caol Ila, Clynelish, Dailuaine, Dufftown, Glen Spey, Glendullan, Glenlossie, Inchgower, Linkwood, Mannochmore, Mortlach, Rosebank, Strathmill and other renowned distilleries in limited editions.
