This fine and exclusive 21-year-old Dalmore Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the year 2015 consists of an exceptional blend of whiskies and continues the Dalmore Distillery s tradition of using special casks for maturation and refinement. The 21 Years Dalmore Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky spent its 21 years of maturation initially in selected American white oak bourbon casks and then for a further 10 years in hand- selected 1st fill Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts from the Gonzales Byas bodega in Jerez de la Frontear, Spain, before being bottled in 2015 in a limited edition of 8,000 bottles at 42.0% ABV.
The additional and long maturation in selected Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts has given the 21-year-old Dalmore Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky the typical Dalmore character with plenty of substance. The nose reveals fine aromas of ginger cake, orange fondant, caramelised pear, vanilla, sherry and brandy snaps. The flavour is strong, juicy and sweet with fresh ground coffee, chocolate ganache, cinnamon apples, raisins, dry sherry and dark fruits. The finish is long and spicy with Oxford marmalade, pickled cherries and soft liquorice - a remarkable Dalmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky!
