A vintage 1990 27 years old GlenAllachie Speyside Single Cask Scotch Whisky as a special release to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the distillery - for this special anniversary the Master Distiller Billy Walker at GlenAllachie chose a sherry butt with the cask number 2515 from the year 1990. The special single cask whisky matured in the cask for over 27 years and was bottled in a limited edition of only 484 individually hand-numbered bottles on 28th February 2018 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration at cask strength 44.9% vol.
The whisky is part of a series of 6 sherry cask bottlings for the 50th anniversary of the distillery and is the first single malt whisky since the takeover of the distillery by Billy Walker and can certainly be considered a special collector s item already today.
