This rare and exceptional 1978 vintage 31-year-old Glendronach Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 29th December 1978, matured for over 31 years in an exquisite Oloroso sherry puncheon with the cask no. 1040, and was bottled in June 2010 in the Glendronach single cask limited release batch no. 2 series without the addition of colorants or chill filtration at cask strength of 51.2% ABV in a limited edition of only 645 individually hand-numbered bottles and is one of only five known vintage 1978 whiskies from the Glendronach distillery.
Since the year 2009, the Glendronach master distiller has been selecting a handful of individual casks of outstanding quality from the Glendronach warehouses and bottling them for special retailers and renowned whisky merchants in the Glendronach limited release single cask bottling series.
