A rare and magnificent vintage 1971 40-year-old Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Family Cask series and a special bottling from a selected first-fill sherry cask as a vintage 1971 special release for The Whisky Shop Dufftown. For this, a selected first-fill sherry cask with cask no. 152 was filled at Glenfarclas on 8th January 1971, was allowed to mature in the cask for 40 years and was bottled in a limited edition of only 496 bottles without the addition of colorants or chill filtration on 14th February 2011 at cask strength 51.6% ABV as a limited vintage 1971 special release.
