For this special Highland single malt, a sherry cask with the cask no. 11046 was filled at Glenfarclas on Christmas Eve in the year 1980, matured in the cask for over 21 years and was bottled with the special Christmas label in an edition of only 567 individually numbered bottles on 22th March 2002 without the addition of colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 53.6% vol.
