A rare and terrific vintage 1985 29-year-old Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the limited Family Casks release Spring 2015 bottling series and a special bottling from a selected refill sherry hogshead. For this, Glenfarclas filled a selected sherry hogshead with cask no. 2593 in the year 1985, the distillate matured in the cask for 29 years and was bottled on 2nd December 2014 as a limited Spring Release SP15 in a batch of just 320 bottles without the addition of colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 49.0% vol.
In Jim Murrays Whisky Bible 2016, the vintage 1985 29 years Glenfarclas Family Casks #2593 Scotch Whisky was awarded as the best single cask whisky in the 28-34 years age category.
