A rare and terrific vintage 1996 24 year old Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Glenfarclas The Family Casks Summer 2020 single cask series and special bottling from a selected first fill sherry butt. For this purpose, Glenfarclas filled a selected sherry butt with cask no. 1073 in 1996, the new make was matured in the cask for 24 years and was bottled in an edition of only 535 bottles on 28th May 2020 without the addition of colorants and chill filtration at cask strength 51.8% vol. as a limited summer release S20.
The world-famous and unique single cask whiskies from the Glenfarclas Family Casks series contains selected single cask bottlings from various vintages, spanning 54 years without gaps since the early 1950s and is an exquisite collection of the best single casks from the old cask cellar of the Glenfarclas distillery. The Glenfarclas Family Casks series was launched in 2006 and for each vintage, only the finest casks were selected to represent the best of its year.
