Surely one of the great and outstanding Glenmorangies from the early 1970s, originally malted in his own Malting Floors - beautifully elegant and complex with the typical Glenmorangie seasoning with more peat than today s bottlings of Glenmorangie. Distilled in 1974 and matured 25 years in selected cask, bottled in the year 1999 as a limited Millenium Edition in an edition of 2.000 pieces in replica bottles and the original label designed by Sir Walter Scott from the year 1920. One of the best vintage Glenmorangies and a must for collectors of Glenmorangie and rare single malts.
- Nose: light and fresh with dry hay notes and beeswax, fruit salad note with balanced acidity and smoked ham
- Palate: full, quite sweet and creamy, cereal notes with lightly salted butter on toast, tiramisu and winter berries
