A rare vintage 2008 10 year old Lagavulin single malt Scotch whisky as a special tasting release single cask bottling without added colouring and chill-filtration at cask strength 57.1% vol., which was personally selected by Iain McArthur from the old Lagavulin warehouse from a rejuvenated (sherry) oak cask with the cask no. 705214 and was only available to visitors to the distillery on site as part of a tasting.
This special Lagavulin Islay single malt Scotch whisky is one of the most sought-after and rare single cask bottlings from Lagavulin, was not officially available in stores and one of the three special Lagavulin single cask whiskies that were presented to visitors to the distillery tour from May 2019 for tasting and as special 0.2 litre bottlings. The label was handwritten with the year of distillation, the cask number, alcohol content, age and the initials of the bottler; each bottle is unique.
