This exquisite vintage 1998 25-year-old Longmorn Speyside single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 1998, matured for 25 years in a selected first-fill sherry hogshead with cask no. 20600101, and was bottled on 13th September 2023 by Gordon and MacPhail in the Cask Strength Connoisseurs Choice single cask edition as batch no. 23/178, exclusively for Kirsch Import and Germany in a limited edition of 327 bottles without the addition of colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 53.7% ABV.
The independent bottler Gordon and MacPhail has been bottling single malts for many renowned distilleries for decades. As an original bottler, they set aside the finest casks for future release. Almost exclusively, selected bourbon and sherry casks were used for the maturation process, which lasted for many decades.
