A rare and magnificent 12 year old Macallan Sherry Wood Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky and the classic from Macallan at 43.0% vol. in a rare version with the old label without Easter Elchies with a beautiful dark amber colour, distilled in the early 1970s and bottled in the mid-1980s in limited edition for the Italian market and the importer Giovinetti and Figli Milano without the addition of colourings.
The 12 years Macallan Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch whisky matured for 12 years in hand-selected sherry oak casks from Jerez in Spain and was for many years an integral part of the Macallan range alongside the world-famous 18 years Macallan Sherry Oak Single Malt. The old and early Macallan Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch whiskies from the 1980s and early 1990s impressively demonstrate the extraordinary quality and original character of the fine old Spanish sherry casks and are today particularly sought after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
