Macallan Estate Reserve Masters of Photography Ernie Button Limited Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 45.7% Vol. - Limited edition bottling from The 1824 Collection of a coveted Macallan Highland Single Malt!
The Macallan Estate Reserve Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Masters of Photography Capsule limited edition series, with its elaborate artist label designed by Ernie Button and packaging from the Macallan The 1824 Collection, was produced in a limited edition especially for the travel retail market to commemorate the work of a legendary photographer. Macallan Whiskymaker Bob Dalgamo has selected the most exceptional sherry-seasoned Spanish oak hogsheads for this exquisite Macallan single malt.
The two product categories, The 1824 Series and The 1824 Collection, should not be confused with each other. The former line represents Macallan whisky without any indication of maturity, named after its increasingly darker colour. Whisky from The 1824 Collection comprises special Macallan single malts, which were reserved exclusively for the travel retail market and were not officially available for sale. This includes the refined Macallan Estate Reserve Ernie Button Master of Photography The 1824 Collection Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky with its increased alcohol content of 45.7% ABV, bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring.
Bottlings from the Macallan 1824 Collection, and especially the limited Macallan Master of Photography Capsule Editions, are rarely found, making the malts in this series, with their modern design and distinctive label, highly sought-after collector s whiskies.
For this exclusive Macallan Estate Reserve Ernie Button Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, seasoned Spanish sherry oak hogsheads were used, most of which are said to be well-aged in order to create the desired flavour profile. Judging by the colour alone, the Macallan Estate Reserve Ernie Button from the 1824 Collection is a Macallan that is difficult to find today and, if you do find it, almost impossible to afford.
The Macallan Estate Reserve Ernie Button Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky presents aromas of lemon, orange peel, raisins, vanilla, dark chocolate and floral, light oak notes on the nose. The flavour is rich and mild with citrus fruits, leather, pepper, toffee, ginger, cinnamon and soft oak tones. The finish is medium-long, slightly dry and sweet with honey and malt.
A rich, voluminous and fruity Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky with a short production period in a limited edition, which, like all other bottlings from the Macallan Masters of Photography series launched in 2008 by Rankin, Albert Watson, Annie Leibowitz, Elliott Erwitt, Steven Klein and Mario Testino, is now a sought-after rarity.
A sought-after and exclusive Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Masters of Photography-series and rare exclusive duty free expression for connoisseurs, discerning whisky collectors and lovers of exquisite old Scotch whiskies.
