A rare vintage 1977 28-year-old Brechin Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which after 28 years of maturation in an American refill oak cask was bottled in the year 2005 in a limited edition of 2040 individually numbered bottles at natural cask strength 53.3% ABV. This magnificent and old North Port/Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the only bottling to bear the name Brechin and, alongside the three whiskies from the Diageo Rare Malt Selection, one of only four existing and, at 28 years old, the oldest original bottling from the North Port/Brechin distillery, which closed finally in 1983.
