A rare and extraordinary vintage 2012 11-year-old Bruichladdich Octomore Super Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky with 156 PPM, distilled in the year 2012 and matured for 11 years in a second-fill Monbazillac wine cask, bottled on 12th September 2024 as a limited single cask edition exclusively for Germany in a total of only 294 individually numbered bottles without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at cask strength 60.4% ABV.
The exquisite Bruichladdich Octomore 2012 11 Years Single Cask Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was matured in a select Monbazillac barrique wine cask from the Bergerac region in south-western France, and the influence of this fine French sweet wine ensures a delicate, multi-layered and complex Octomore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which is exceptionally harmonious on the nose with aromas of honey, ripe apricots, vanilla, cinnamon, caramelised fruit with a salty note. The taste is oily, spicy with fruity sweetness and pleasant peat, toffee, peach, dried figs, wine notes, intense Islay peat smoke and a fine oak note. The finish is long, dry and warming with sweet malt, smoke and spice - an incredibly good and characterful Octomore Single Malt Scotch Whisky and an exclusive limited single cask bottling under the direction of Adam Hannett!
The exceptionally heavily peated Octomore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is distilled by Bruichladdich in memory of the old Octomore distillery, which was located above Port Charlotte and was one of the whiskies with the highest phenol content in its day.
