A rare and exquisite vintage 2007 13-year-old Port Charlotte Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled on 26th October 2007 and, after 13 years of maturation in a first-fill Pomerol Bordeaux wine cask, was bottled in February 2021 by the independent bottler Dramfool as part of the Jim McEwan Signature Collection as Port Charlotte Limited Release 1.2 in February 2021 in a limited edition of just 299 individually numbered bottles with no added colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 60.9% ABV.

The result is an exceptional Port Charlotte Islay single malt Scotch whisky, which on the nose reveals dense peat smoke and salty sea air, along with wild coastal flowers, heather, ripe dark grapes and the noble spice of French oak; the palate is powerful, oily and opulent with sweet malt, ripe plums, figs and a hint of dark honey, which opens up instantly with a few drops of water, revealing notes of Turkish delight with sea spray and warm smoke.
