This very rare vintage 1995 18 years-old Sazerac Double Destilled Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Fall of 2013 is the 14th release and one of only 4.527 bottles of the limited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2013 from the prestigious Buffalo Trace Distillery, the world-renowned whiskey brands such as Pappy Van Winkle, Old Rip Van Winkle, George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, Eagle Rare, Taylor Jr and Thomas H. Handy Sazerac produced. With the Sazerac 18 Years Straight Rye Whiskey Spring of 1995, Buffalo Trace created a very intense and complex dark chestnut colored rye whisky and shows the special art of the American whiskey handwork.
The famed Sazerac Coffee House was founded in 1850 on Exchange Alley in New Orleans, Louisiana and soon gained fame as the home of America s First Cocktail known as the Sazerac. Using rye whiskey in place of the French brandy, a dash of Peychaud Bitters, and Herbsaint, what eventually became the official cocktail of New Orleans was created. This straight rye has a mellow spice and dry sweetness that dances on the tongue, giving pure delight that is worthy of the Sazerac name.
