A very rare and highly collectable vintage 1966 32 year old Springbank Local Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which was matured for 32 years in a selected Bourbon cask with the cask no. 1966/500 and bottled in a limited edition of only 502 bottles in August 1998. The old Springbank Local Barley single cask bottlings, particularly from the years 1965 and 1966, are today synonymous with the outstanding quality of this distillery and are quite rightly regarded as a reference to particularly glorious days and old style whiskies in a class of their own.
One hundred per cent of the barley used for this legendary Springbank Local Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky is grown in the surrounding area and processed at the distillery. The vintage 1966 32 years Springbank Local Barley Single Malt was distilled in February 1966 in the old Springbank pot still and bottled in August 1998 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at cask strength 54.2% vol. in a limited edition, is delivered in a beautiful wooden box and is an exclusive highlight in any whisky collection.
