A rare vintage 1970s limited release of the multi-award winning 21 years-old Balvenie Port Wood Highland Single Malt Whisky, bottled in the mid to late 1990s at 43.0% vol. in the old equipment with 1.0 litre in limited edition presumably for the travel-retail or duty-free market.
For this Balvenie Single Malt, Malt Master David Stewart used only carefully selected old American oak bourbon barrels from the Rare Reserve stocks of the distillery, which were subsequently finished in 30-40 year old port wine casks. A rich and complex Balvenie single malt scotch whisky with a long, smooth and nutty finish in extraordinary quality and an exclusive bottling from the popular Balvenie Port Wood range.
