The Dalmore Mackenzie is a limited edition of 2400 bottles (+ 600 for travel retail) supporting the Clan Mackenzie Society. The packaging of the bottle shows a print of the Benjamin West painting Fury of the Stag. This famous Highland Clan owned The Dalmore for almost 100 years, and they are still connected through the family icon, the stag head, which The Dalmore uses to adorn their bottles. The partnership aims to raise funds to refurbish the Clan s Castle Leod.
A very special and delicious vintage 1992 whisky from Dalmore, the Mackenzie single malt scotch whisky has received a 6 year secondary maturation in port pipes after its initial 11 years in normal hogsheads and has been bottled at 46%. Master Distiller, Richard Paterson, created The Mackenzie expression as a tribute to this act of bravery. The natural soft amber red hue - drawn from the port pipes - links the colour of the whisky to the blood of the injured stag. Bottled at 46% ABV, the Mackenzie bottling is a commanding, intense and courageous fit for all aristocracy and proffers hints of vanilla, red fruits, spices and the brand s classic signature citrus orange.
