A rare 12 year old Ezra Brooks Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which was bottled by hand after 12 years of maturation in a heavily charred American white oak barrel with the barrel no. 290 in January 2007 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 49.5% vol / 99 proof in a limited edition for the US market and distributed by the David Sherman Corporation of St. Louis, now Luxco.
This great old 12 years Ezra Brooks Single Barrel Kentucky Straigth Bourbon Whiskey was produced in 1994-1995 either in the old Heaven Hill Bernheim distillery in Louisville, which was completely destroyed by a devastating fire, or at the Medleys distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky and bottled by Ezra Brooks Distilling in St. Louis, the barrel no. and the bottling date were noted by hand on the bottle label.
Only around 50 of the special 12-15 year old wax sealed and hand-labeled single barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskeys were bottled by Ezra Brooks between 2000 and 2015 and are now regarded by connoisseurs as real gems on the market.
