A rare vintage 1996 21 year-old Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the limited Family Casks Winter 2017 series and a special bottling of a selected 1st fill sherry butt. For this bottling Glenfarclas filled a selected sherry butt with cask no. 1498 in the year 1996, were allowed to mature for more than 21 years in the cask and was bottled in a limited edition of 581 bottles on 6. November 2017 at cask strength 42.1% abv for the winter-release W17.
The world-famous and unique single casks whiskies from the Glenfarclas Family Casks series contains selected single cask bottlings from various vintages, spanning 54 years without gaps since the early 1950s and is an exquisite collection of the best single casks from the old cask cellar of the Glenfarclas distillery. The Glenfarclas Family Casks series was launched in 2006 and for each vintage, only the finest casks were selected to represent the best of its year.
