The crown jewel of the renowned Hennessy Cognac house, the Hennessy Paradis Impérial, is a majestic cognac creation made from eaux-de-vie dating back up to 200 years; it is an ode to a passion for precision and celebrates the centuries-old art of selecting exceptional, refined and sensuous eaux-de-vie, a craft perfected over eight generations by the master blender Fillioux family.
Hennessy Paradis Impérial Cognac is an exclusive blend of eaux-de-vie from the 18th and 19th centuries, which have been aged in French Limousin oak casks. Hennessy states that, statistically speaking, only around 10 out of every 10,000 casks from each vintage will one day find their way into Hennessy Paradis Impérial. Originally created in 1818 at the request of the Tsar's mother, Maria Feodorovna, as a gift for the Russian Tsar Alexander I on his 42nd birthday, this cognac is a blend of the rarest and highest-quality eaux-de-vie from the distillery's cellars in the Cognac region of France. Thanks to their ageing in older casks made from the finest French oak, these eaux-de-vie possess a gentle woody note without being overly influenced by the wood.
With this Paradis Imperial, Hennessy Cognac's cellar master Yann Fillioux produced a true masterpiece in the year 2011, whilst designer Stéphanie Balini created a crystal glass bottle featuring an extraordinary stopper made of cut crystal, set in silver and adorned with an 18-carat gold-plated ring. Every Hennessy Paradis Imperial bottle is unique and individually numbered.
