Bottled in February 2014 at original cask strength 58.0% vol., this special Islay single malt is now one of Laphroaig's legendary whiskies, where the rough Atlantic climate around the island of Islay and the exceptional character are literally palpable on the tongue.
The American oak casks used in the production of the 10 years Laphroaig Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky are lightly fired before filling to impart the slightly sweet vanilla-nuttiness of the oak. The Islay single malt is then matured in Laphroaig's warehouses for a period of 10 years before being bottled at cask strength (straight from the wood).
