This early release of the 12 year Macallan Fine Oak Triple Cask Matured Single Malt is a special Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which has been matured for at least 12 years in a combination of selected European and American oak sherry casks, as well as American oak bourbon casks.
The result is a smooth, delicate and complex 12-year-old Macallan Fine Oak Triple Cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which is a successful blend of the three different cask types and possesses a character all of its own. The 12 Year Old Macallan Fine Oak Triple Cask Matured Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a subtle golden colour and presents itself on the nose as strong, rounded, complex and smooth, with ripe fruit, malt and caramel, delicate spices and subtle smoke; the palate is round and fruity with oak, honey and sweet malt; the finish is medium-length and very pleasant with a subtle spiciness.
