A rare and magnificent 12 year old Macallan Sherry Wood Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky and the classic Macallan at 43.0% vol. in a rare 0.75l version with a beautiful dark amber colour, distilled in the 1960s and imported for the German market in the late 1970s / early 1980s by Pro Nobilitate Ebert, Hainzl and Co. in Hamburg.
The 12 years Macallan Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch whisky matured for at least 12 years in hand-selected sherry oak casks from Jerez in Spain and was for many years an integral part of the Macallan range alongside the world-famous 18 years Macallan Sherry Oak Single Malt. The old and early Macallan Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch whiskies from the 1970s/1980s and early 1990s impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality and original character of the fine old Spanish sherry casks and are now particularly sought after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
