A rare vintage 2001 12 year old Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky by Independent Bottler Rest an Be Thankful Whisky Company. The special Port Charlotte Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 20th December 2001 and, after more than 12 years of maturation in a selected Pomerol wine cask with the cask no. R0000002304, was bottled on 14th November 2014 without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration in an edition of just 238 hand-numbered bottles at cask strength 61.5% vol.
The Rest and Be Thankful Whisky Company is an independent bottler of single malt Scotch whisky and exquisite rum, was founded by Fox Fitzgerald Whisky Trading Company Ltd. and officially represented the Bruichladdich distillery until it was sold in 2012 and is known among connoisseurs and enthusiasts worldwide for its exquisite and extraordinary single cask bottlings. The name of the company comes from a famous viewpoint in Scotland and Rest and be Thankful is an inscription that can be found on a stone at the end of a strenuous hiking trail through Glen Croe in Scotland. The inscription is a historical phrase that urged travellers to rest after the exertion of the climb and be thankful for the wonderful view.
