A rare and spectacular vintage 1975 42 year old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1975 and bottled after 42 years maturation in a fino sherry cask with no added colouring or chill filtration in the year 2017 in a limited edition of only 378 individually numbered bottles by Antique Lions of Spirits in the Savannah limited single cask bottling series at cask strenght 49.2% vol.
This exceptional Speyside single malt Scotch whisky is the result of a joint project between the well-known whisky lovers and whisky collectors Jens Drewitz (Germany), Max Righi (Whisky Antique) and Diego Sandrin (Lion s Whisky SRL), who all share an uncompromising passion for whisky and are in love with whisky and strive to find and bottle exceptional Scotch whiskies with a special demand for enjoyment and quality. Thus, under the abbreviation ALOS and the name Antique Lions of Spirits, around 18 exceptional single malts from the Speyside region and from the distilleries Bladnoch, Blair Athol, Bowmore, Octomore, Bunnahabhain, Clynelish, Ferrtercairn, Glen Keith, Glen Moray, Glenrothes, Mannochmore, Springbank and Tormore have been bottled so far.
The elaborate artist s labels on the bottles and packaging are a tribute to maestro Pepi Mongiardino and old Moon-Import bottles and show motifs and lost drawings by the same artist from the 1800s that were discovered in Pepi Mongiardino s collections.
