A rare vintage 1991 16 year old Springbank Campbeltown single malt Scotch whisky from the limited wood expressions edition. The Springbank Campbeltown single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in June 1991, then matured for 8 years in refill bourbon casks and then a further 8 years in fresh rum barrels before being bottled in August 2002 without the addition of colouring and chill-filtration at cask strength 54.2% vol. in an edition of 5.100 bottles.
The special vintage 1991 16 years Springbank Rum Wood Campbeltown Single Malt shows the character of Springbank as well as the influence of the rum casks and shines in the nose with fine sweetness, smoky and fruity notes with banana, milk coffee and dried figs, the taste is soft with flavours of lemons, green apples, sultanas, toffee and caramelised fruits and spicy notes with a long malty and smoky finish.
